The versatile NeCTA combines our popular CTA Terminal Adapter, a TCP/IP terminal server and a Dial-in server in a compact desktop unit.

Any Windows application can now use the embedded ISDN modem via NeCTAs LAN connection, eliminating the need for serial cabling (Using DSPs virtual COM port Redirector software). This liberates NeCTAs serial ports for alternative applications such as linking other serial devices to the PC.

Redirector software adds NeCTAs 2 serial ports to your PC. Serial devices connected to NeCTA appear as though connected directly to the PC e.g. Chip card readers, scanners, display terminals, foot fall counters.

NeCTAs serial ports may be used as TCP/IP Terminal Servers, connecting serial devices to the LAN. Either permanent or switched connections are supported. Full emulation of modem AT commands is included for operation with equipment that expects to be connected to a modem (e.g. serial surveillance camera, a data logger or environmental monitor).

The embedded Dial-up networking server permits remote access  to hosts on the attached LAN, or simply to configure NeCTA. Security configurations permit dial-in, LAN access and supervisor access for each user.

A new real-time activity log allows local or remote monitoring of both serial ports, the LAN interface, and the ISDN line with a full LAPB(X25)/LAPD(D-channel) protocol analyzer.

For fast setup, configurations can be up and downloaded to NeCTA via the LAN using TFTP.

Typical applications for NeCTA are:
· Internet and Dial-in LAN access
· APACS X25 Electronic Point-of-Sale transaction processing
· High speed video/data transfer
· LAN-enabling serial devices
· Sites where two serial or LAN connected devices require concurrent dial-up access.

Easy setup with Windows 9x, 2000 and NT4 applications.
